Accounting and Tax Basics for Small Business

A strong understanding of basic accounting and taxes is crucial to a successful business, even if you plan to hire an outside accountant. In this class, you’ll gain the knowledge about “what” and “how,” but even more importantly you’ll learn in what ways your financial information can serve you in making solid management decisions toward profitability and growth.

Are you considering starting a new nonprofit organization? this two-part course will explain what is a "public benefit corporation", the application for tax exempt status, and the roles, duties and responsibilities of nonprofit board members.

Charitable organizations must engage in a broad array of fundraising tactics to secure their annual revenue, observe a strict code of ethical practices, and report the results of its programs and services as public benefits delivered back to its community. The workshop will cover these and more.
